|Crossroads has a fully-equipped Technology Centre with state of the art computers and iPads, led by Venusha Naidoo.
We use up-to-date software and a curriculum which helps our learners keep up with IT technology. Much of the work done in the classroom is reinforced through a range of exciting theme-based lessons which not only assists in learning computer skills, but also helps in problem-solving, thinking and creative skills. We use Microsoft suite and educational games & software.
Assistive technology is used in the classroom to assist learners by means of a device best suited to their individual needs. A thorough and in depth analysis of the child forms part of a rigorous multidisciplinary procedure to determine the appropriateness and necessity for a device. This is most commonly after an extensive period of conventional therapy.
