On Saturday one of our learners had approximately 30cm of her hair cut off which she is donating to the Cancer Association.

The Cancer association will be able to make 2 wigs out of her hair. The wigs will be given to cancer patients who have lost their hair during cancer treatment.

This young learner’s gesture has inspired others to do the same.

Crossroads RHood 018 1

Concert time is always exciting at Crossroads! This year the learners put on a fantastic production of “Robin Hood and his Brus”.

“Robinhood and his Brus” was a South African inspired adaptation of the story of Robinhood, written by their grade 1 teacher Lynne van den Berg, which incorporated the entire school in various ways.  The children practiced very hard during the second term to learn their songs, dance moves and lines in order to produce a worthy piece of lyrical theatre, which was as much enjoyed by the audience as it was by the children.
